CHROMOGENIC MEDIA

BioMaxima S.A. offers high quality chromogenic media, including those for the detection of microorganisms with different mechanisms of resistance (MRSA), VRE, ESBL, KPC). Their use in screening tests is very common.

Appropriately selected components of the chromogenic mixture allow direct identification of microbial species, which shortens the waiting time for the result down to 24 hours and allows for taking appropriate therapeutic or epidemiological measures. It is also important that the lack of growth of characteristic colored colonies ends the testing stage.

In addition to the use in clinical microbiology, chromogenic media due to their properties are also used in the testing of water, food, environmental samples, as well as in a veterinary clinic. We invite you to familiarize yourself with the offer of chromogenic BioMaxima S.A. media.

REAL-TIME PCR

The growing requirements of the market, especially as regards the time of sample testing, accuracy of the method and workload, made BioMaxima S.A. set itself the goal of creating products that meet this demand. The BioMaxima S.A. offer has been extended with products using the Real-Time PCR method.

In comparison to traditional methods, Real-Time PCR tests are simple and rapid quality tests involving the detection of appropriately characteristic DNA present in the test sample. The tests use a proven and documented real-time PCR method of polymerase reaction.

The BioMaxima S.A. has successfully introduced a genetic test to identify the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2(SARS-CoV-2 Real Time PCR LAB- KITTM).  We are currently registered multiplex test to identify as many as seven respiratory pathogens: SARS-CoV-2 virus, Influenza A virus (including H1N1, H3N2, H5N1), Influenza B virus, Respiratory Syncytial Virus A and B(SARS/Flu/RSV Real Time PCR LAB-KIT TM. We are preparing genetic tests to identify other pathogens( viral and bacterial) responsible for respiratory, digestive and sexually transmitted infections. These tests will help to professionally support the work of laboratory diagnosticians in this difficult already time of the pandemic.
